It answers on WhatsApp, not on a website
Masari has no public screen: students message a WhatsApp number by text, voice note or photo, and the school manages conversations, programmes and files from a private admin panel.
This chat is illustrative, and in Arabic because Masari speaks Arabic. The questions come from the project’s tests and the replies from the approved programme records and the assistant’s own texts. The assistant words each reply itself, so a real chat may read differently.
What was needed
The facts students ask about sit in the Student Guide for Higher Education Institutions 2026/2027 (272 pages) and its 80-page supplement, where one programme can carry more than one code. A wrong answer fails silently: if the assistant said 70% where the supplement requires 80%, a student might not apply, and nothing would flag it. Students ask in everyday Arabic, by text, voice note or photo.
What we built
Masari replies from a WhatsApp number. We turned the guide and its supplement into 601 programme records, 596 active and 5 cancelled, settling every disagreement against its page in the official PDF, and the assistant reads only records marked approved. The model writes each reply in plain Arabic, but its instructions forbid any code, percentage or condition outside the approved list, and forbid telling students whether they will be accepted. It sends the official forms and guides on request and hands the chat to a specialist when a student asks.
What’s in it
Understands text, voice notes and photos, and replies in Arabic.
Programme facts only from the approved list: 596 active programmes from the 2026/2027 guide and supplement, with cancelled programmes stated as cancelled.
States the official requirement and leaves the comparison to the student; it never says “you are accepted”.
Sends the official files: subject-choice forms, the Travel and Tourism form and leaflet, the student guide and its supplement, and single guide pages.
Human handoff: a student asks for a staff member, the assistant goes quiet in that chat only, and /bot brings it back.
An admin panel for conversations, programmes, files and settings.
