WejhatiOman’s Places on a Map
We built Wejhati, a site that puts Oman’s tourist sites on an interactive map and lays out the Travel and Tourism vocational track unit by unit.

What was needed
Travel and Tourism was a section of Kun Waeian, a platform that speaks to students choosing their subjects, while this content speaks to anyone who wants to know where Oman’s sites are and which study track leads to working in them. The places were shown as a list of cards, which can’t show where each place is or how far apart they are.
What we built
We moved the section to its own site on its own address, served from the same codebase as Kun Waeian so the places, photos and videos stay in one source. The home page opens with a full-width map of 187 sites in 11 governorates, with filters, search and a detail card for each place. Below the map the track is laid out unit by unit, each with its book and specification, alongside the awareness video, the leaflet and the official form.
What’s in it
A full-width map of Oman: 187 sites in 11 governorates, 12 of them on the UNESCO list, with 284 photos.
Filters by kind of place (heritage, nature, city, coast, desert, mountain) and by governorate, with counts that update as you filter, and search with suggestions.
Pick a pin and an animated guide walks across the map to it; the place card holds photos, a video where one exists and a Wikipedia link.
The Travel and Tourism track by unit: three units, each with its book and specification, plus the specialised English book, the video, the leaflet and the 2026/2027 presentation.
The official form to download, and a page with the track’s rules and weekly timetable as the form states them.
Its own identity: logo, colours, header, footer and link-preview metadata.
